Bill Therrien

Bill Therrien, Ph.D., BCBA, holds the Thomas G. Jewell Professorship of Special Education at the University of Virginia. He is the president of the Aletheia Society, an organization dedicated to promoting rigor and openness in special education research, and the co-director and co-founder of the Special Education Research Accelerator (SERA), a collaborative platform for large-scale, high-quality research in special education. Therrien also serves as co-editor of The Journal of Special Education and Research in Special Education (RiSE). His research focuses on academic interventions for students with learning disabilities and autism, particularly in science and reading, with extensive experience in experimental and meta-analytic methods.
