Phoebe J. Ahn
Phoebe J. Ahn is a PhD candidate in Special Education at Vanderbilt University. Her research focuses on advancing equitable identification and service delivery for multilingual learners with disabilities by examining how assessment practices, classification systems, and teacher workforce factors shape educational opportunity. She uses quantitative methods, including latent profile analysis and multilevel modeling study, to study heterogeneity among multilingual learners and its implications for referral and placement. Before pursuing her doctorate, Ms. Ahn was a special education teacher in Los Angeles, California. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego and a master's degree in Special Education from Vanderbilt University.
