The SPARC Center Scholars Program aims to build capacity among early-career scholars from the fields of special education, education policy, and other related areas to conduct rigorous research on the special educator workforce using statewide longitudinal data systems (SLDS). SPARC Center Scholars will collaborate with leading national experts to design and conduct research projects focused on the special educator workforce and associated policies. Findings will contribute to the development of meaningful policy solutions to long-standing challenges with the composition, distribution, stability, and effectiveness of the special educator workforce.
